Important information for  2025

Non-refundable administration fee:

A non-refundable administration fee of R2000 will be required for all applicants. Please note that there is no additional deposit required. When paying the deposit via ATM cash deposit, the fee is R2070.

Inclusive rental amount:

The rental amount includes shuttle services, unlimited/uncapped Wi-fi, pre-paid electricity and water for your convenience. Electricity usage is calculated on an average fair usage over all Equity Housing beds.

Waiting period for funding:

Please be aware that the waiting period for funding approval is from February 2025 to April 2025. Any fees incurred beyond this point will be your responsibility.

Funding eligibility:

It is essential to be eligible for funding for the entire academic year (2025) – not just for one semester.

Rent structure:

Rent will adhere to NSFAS guidelines. We assure you that sharing rooms will not incur extra charges (NO TOP-UP). However, single occupancy rooms may require a top-up for any amounts exceeding the maximum covered by the university.
